Although this replacement Magnavox remote control does not bare the name Magnavox, it is an exact duplicate of the original Magnavox remote bundled with the combination VCR/DVD player. Pressing any of the buttons on this remote suggest's that the contact is much more robust than the original remote which offered a somewhat mushy finger feedback.
So far I am convinced that this replacement remote will last much longer than the original.
